Triggering incidents as a user without an account in slack is broken

Slack recently changed their notion of a workflow and these instructions are out of date:

I’ve found using the new style workflow it’s impossible for users without a PD account to trigger an incident in slack, and the existing legacy style workflow seems to be broken and unable to trigger an incident even with the account linked as per those instructions.

Is this a known issue and are there any plans to resolve as part of the slack integration?

I reached out to the support team and learned that there’s an ongoing bug to investigate why the incident trigger Slack workflow is requesting PagerDuty account linking.

I’d recommend that you write to support here and they’ll keep you updated as the bug is addressed.
